Operated from 1906 to 1985. Founded by George Clinton Murphy, the company started as a small five-and-dime store in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Over the years, it grew into a successful chain with hundreds of stores across the United States.
Proceeds of sales from this collection benefit the G.C. Murphy Company Foundation a charitable organization benefiting Western PA charities.
